Open Beta... Roll out!

This is a continuation of what Mozza was talking about on another thread on the gamerDNA site...

What are your plans for alt-ing during open beta?

Mine will be to play as many alts as possible, maybe play the first few levels of each to get a feel for them.

I'm certainly not going to get any characters above the first few levels or take part in any big PQs or Scenarios. I'm leaving all that for live.

I've got a short attention span, so re-hashing content I've done in Open beta, again when it goes live is something I'm hoping to avoid.

But I will try out the Warrior Priest for a few quests. I'm hoping the dual targeting system and the feel of the character will be a bit of fun.

Although I have heard that the ranged dudes are shaping up to be the most fun for spell effect junkies like myself!! (Bright Wizard, Shadow Warrior and Goblin Shaman being a few on my list for OB try-outs!)

I know you Closed Beta guys have had time to tinker with the various races, so you might be planning something different altogether with your OB time...

...Me, I'll be trying to avoid all the big quest, PQ and Scenarios content and concentrating on getting a small play test with each character hopefully in every race, if not, at least with all the Order races.


[Edit] Oh, and how can I forget?! After watching a few videos, Ironbreakers look a lot of fun, so they make the list also.

Less than a day to go!

Let's see, I'll probably start with something I havn't tried yet. Maybe a Swordmaster!

I will be using open beta to do two things. to play on the classes that are unlikely to be my main. And to give the Destruction side a go. I really want to see how the black orc plays.

Today's the day then! Patcher has changed considerably, but the servers are still not up yet

Thats if we are able to play at all today. I can't even register yet.

There's a new patch available, I can now launch the game to get to the server selection screen. There's about dozen EU servers, 8 of which are English.

I've designated us to play on the server: World's Edge Mountains.

Now we just need them to hurry it up and let people put codes in and then turn the servers on!

Ok we're in! /friend me as Luke, currently playing a Swordmaster. We'll get the guild up and running ASAP

Lucky sod. I can't even log in to WAR europe yet, let alone enter my open beta code.

Yeah the account system has died. . . I would guess from overload. They should have anticipated it, it's very poor service.

Damn. Was looking forward to getting home from work and logging on...

Currently rolling an Archmage named Luca, and actually I'm having a lot of fun . . . quite a runner for my main on release

I played a bright wizard yesterday. Fun, but high surviveability like the IB or SM is more appealing to me so.. I also played a black orc and LOVED it. The greenskin starting area is fantastic.
